Our Commitment
Instant Care Ltd. recognises the urgent need to tackle climate change and supports the UK Government’s target to achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and embedding sustainable practices across our operations.
Our Current Impact
As a domiciliary care provider, our main sources of emissions are:
Staff travel to and from service users’ homes.
Energy use within our office.
Use of paper, PPE, and other disposable resources.
Our Actions to Reduce Emissions
We are already taking steps to reduce our environmental footprint, including:
Encouraging digital record-keeping and minimising paper use.
Promoting staff use of public transport, walking and car sharing where safe and practical.
Reducing office energy use through LED lighting and energy-efficient appliances.
Recycling office waste wherever possible.
Future Plans
To build on this, Instant Care Ltd. will:
Explore low-emission or electric vehicles for care staff in the future.
Continue to reduce paper and move towards a paperless office.
Work only with suppliers who demonstrate sustainable and ethical practices.

Commitment to Net Zero
Instant Care Ltd. is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in line with UK Government targets.
1. Baseline Emissions
Instant Care Ltd. is a small domiciliary care provider. Our primary sources of emissions are:
Scope 1 (Direct):Staff travel to deliver homecare services (car mileage).
Scope 2 (Indirect – purchased energy):Electricity and heating use in our office.
Scope 3 (Other Indirect):Use of PPE, paper, and supplier-related activities.
We are in the process of gathering accurate baseline data to establish our total carbon footprint.
2. Current Measures
We have already implemented the following actions to reduce our carbon footprint:
Encouraging digital record-keeping and minimising paper use.
Recycling office waste where possible.
Promoting the use of public transport, walking and car sharing for staff.
Using energy-efficient lighting and appliances in our office.
3. Future Actions
To further reduce emissions, we will:
Transition towards a paperless office by 2030.
Explore low-emission or electric vehicles for staff use where practical.
Review office energy use annually and seek renewable energy options.
Engage with suppliers who can evidence sustainable and ethical practices.

We will align with the Government’s Procurement Policy Note (PPN 06/21) requirements as we develop more detailed reporting.
